Harry Scheyer, CPA/PFS, CFP®, joined the Rowan University Foundation Board of Directors in 2002.
Mr. Scheyer is a co-founder and principal member of Pinnacle Financial Advisors, LLC, based in Marlton, NJ. During his career, Mr. Scheyer worked with a number of prestigious firms, including E. I. DuPont de Nemours and KMPG Peat Marwick. In 1986, he founded his own CPA firm specializing in tax, accounting and personal financial planning.
He has been recognized by Worth magazine as one of their recommended financial advisors every year since 1996. He has also been listed as one of the “Best Financial Advisors for Doctors” by Medical Economics magazine. Mr. Scheyer is very active in the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors, the largest professional association of comprehensive, fee-only financial planners in the country.
Mr. Scheyer is one of only 24 financial planners nationwide to be profiled in The Financial Planner: A New Professional, by Loren Dunton, who is widely regarded as the “father of financial planning.”
Graduating from Temple University in 1969, he received his CPA certification for Pennsylvania and New Jersey in 1975. Seven years later, he attained certification as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) from the College for Financial Planning, Denver, Colorado. In 1997 Mr. Scheyer became an Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) through the College for Financial Planning.
